I am a 51 year old lady who is offering to walk your dog for free. Yes, FREE! There are a few string of coarse. It has to be on my schedule although I will do everything I can to accommodate your schedule. No dog is likely too much for me to handle. I have a lot of experience with dogs, in particular, ones with behaviour issues. I am a fair weather walker, so I will not be out walking dogs on cold rainy or snowy days. In winter, I do still go out and enjoy a sun filled day even if it is cold. I just don't enjoy getting really wet, especially if it is cold.
Why I am I offering to walk your dog for free? I just went through a divorce and although I am now moved and somewhat settled, there are reasons I don't think I should get my own dog again, not just yet anyway. Besides, most of our dogs over the years came to us very organically, typically through rescue. The dog found us! I terribly miss not having a dog and I am getting out for walks on a pretty regular basis. I feel so funny going for a walk with no dog on either end of my arms! So the next best thing is to walk someone else's dog!
If you are interested in talking, please call me. No strings attached, if at the end of the conversation you are still unsure, no worries! I get it! Your dog is part of your family and you have to ensure you have the right person. Once we speak, I feel the next step would be to meet. I can come over to your place and meet you and your dog(s). From there, I would recommend we all go for a walk together and you can see I how will be handling your dog. After that, we can go from there. I am open to a different process but felt this one is likely best.
Several years back my hubby and I took a dog behavior course over the weekend. To make a long story short, because of the rescue work my husband and I did, we were gifted this course (I believe it was over $2000 for 2 days) and took a friends dog to the practical portion of the course. There was one really BIG thing I learned at the completion of the course that blew my mind and the dog owners mind of the dog we borrowed. It taught me a very important lessen I had not yet learned. I would love to share that story with you! Although the course was not cheap, and we were there with a friends dog, there was a common thing we both heard from the participants. Most of them had spent thousands of dollars prior to this weekend on getting help for their dog(s) but with little success. These people all said basically the same thing. That although this course was more money than most could afford to shell out yet again, they had, by far, seen the most improvement in their dog(s) in the short time we were there and they all felt that they finally had the tools they needed by the end of the weekend that they believed they could create everlasting change. So my hubby and I knew we had attended the right course just based on everyone else's experience with other trainers. Friday night was just listening to the coach. We met Sat at noon with our dogs in a large field with all dogs going crazy as they all had dog and human aggression behavior. Within 4 hours, we were all walking our dogs side by side, nose to butt, in 3 or 4 rows, calmly and quietly around the community for about 45 min with not a single dog acting up. So change is possible when you have the right tools! I will take the knowledge I learned in this course and apply it when walking your dog. Whether it is a mini Poodle, a Great Dane or a Pit Bull, I will get your dog out for a walk. Just give me a call, my name is Jen
